About Cub Scouting
Cub Scouting is fun with a purpose. It is a year-round family program
designed for boys who are in the 1st through 5th grades (or 7, 8, 9, and 10
years of age). Boys in 6th
grade and beyond may join one of the many
Boy Scout Troops in the area. Cub
Scouting teaches values and life skills in an environment of fun and
adventure.
About Pack 126
Pack 126 is part of the
Boy Scouts of America
and is active in the Los Altos community of Long Beach, California. Our unit
is a member of the Los Fierros District in the
Long Beach Area
Council
(map) and our chartered organization is the
Los Altos United
Church of Christ (map).
Boy Scout
Troop 126
is also chartered by the same organization.
Pack meetings take place once a month at
Gant Elementary School
located at 1854 N. Britton Drive (map). Den meetings are held two to four times
per month at various locations agreed upon by each Den.

- Personal Achievement
- Friendly Service
- Fun and Adventure
- Preparation for Boy Scouts
How to Join
Enrollment in Pack 126 is open to all boys in grades 1-5 living in the
Long Beach area. Most of the boys in Pack 126 attend Gant Elementary
but we will be glad to accept boys from other schools if no other Packs are
available in your area.
There are several forms that are mandatory for participation. Please
review the forms below. You will need to get a multipart hardcopy from your Pack Committee Chairperson,
Pack Trainer or Den leader.
We advise getting a short sleeve shirt with room to grow. Webelos Scouts
may wear the khaki or blue shirts. Placement of badges, patches, etc., is
described on the inside covers of the scout handbooks or on
this form.
